Dr Kheng Soo

Consultant Physician, FRACP
Perioperative and Geriatric Medicine

Dr Soo is a Consultant Physician specialising in perioperative and geriatric medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), a graduate of the Chapter of Perioperative Medicine (GChPOM), and holds a research doctorate (PhD) in medicine. He has additional qualifications in geriatric oncology and palliative medicine.

His clinical practice centres on comprehensive health assessment and optimisation across surgery, ageing, and cancer care. This includes perioperative optimisation, cancer supportive and survivorship care, and lymphoedema.

Dr Soo’s research is at the intersection of ageing and cancer care, advancing the measurement and clinical application of frailty, resilience, and quality of life in older people. His work has been published in leading medical journals, including The Lancet Healthy Longevity, and informs integrated, evidence-based models of care designed to improve outcomes for older adults, particularly those living with cancer.

His approach is evidence-informed and person-centred, with a focus on prevention and optimisation to support function, independence, and healthy longevity.
